Indian Electronic Visa

The Indian Electronic Visa is an online travel authorisation for eligible foreign nationals who want to visit India for approved purposes. The application process is completed electronically, including the submission of personal information, passport details, photograph and supporting documents. Depending on the selected category, applicants may need additional documents such as a business card, hospital letter, conference invitation or onward travel ticket. After approval, the ETA is sent to the applicant's email address. Travellers should check that the status shows “GRANTED” before starting their journey and carry a printed or electronic copy of the ETA.
